Kirsty Carlson is a leading OOH and media expert and founder of Synapse Media – an Independent Media consultancy, with 15+ years’ experience across large global media agency groups. She has led media and advertising for major brands in South Africa and across the rest of Africa in senior media leadership roles. Kirsty has spearheaded the centralisation of OOH media services at multiple large media agencies over the course of her career, and played a pioneering role in launching programmatic DOOH in South Africa. Kirsty has also been an AMASA award winner and nominee. As a co-host of Beyond the Billboard and co-editor of DOOH.co.za, she’s a recognized industry voice passionate about driving smarter strategy, stronger teams, and more impactful OOH across the continent. In addition, Kirsty is also the founder and owner of Her Collective; a women empowerment business driving mentorship for women in the media & advertising industry.
